Untill an actual sephis sword drops, there's no proof that they were "re-added".
If they were in the betas as you say, the skin was probably in the .dat file all this time.

These are not new. They drop VERY rarely, but since they have the same skin as the much more common Ram's Hammer and somewhat more common Giant Slayer's Hammer, they're not sought after.

Yeah I've gotten swamp club's before as well. There are definitly some on the list I've never heard of besides the ones people have already posted. I'm wondering what the shark staff looks like for example. I have to admit I'm thinking the worst on that one, I picture a shark on a stick.

iirc, wasn't Guardian of the Hunt part of that "new weapons coming lol" announcement from the Scribe a ways back?

Totem Axe and Fans were many months before the Scribe announced weapons like the Jade Sword and the Guardian of the Hunt.

Meh. Point still stands.

From the updates page

Defeating Urgoz now spawns a chest that each player will be able to interact with individually. This chest will grant each player either one inscribable rare item or one of Urgoz's unique items, as well as two chunks of amber.

Defeating Kanaxai now spawns a chest that each player will be able to interact with individually. This chest will grant each player either one inscribable rare item or one of Kanaxai's unique items, as well as two chunks of jadeite.

I want an inscribable zodiac shield

Well, we had just started working on adapting our 6 man Deep build for HM and were quickly working our way through the Scorpion room when our guild leader got kidnapped by his wife. Of course, a few days later the Chest update came out which actually diminishes the benefit of running with only 6 men.

In the post-chest update runs we've seen all the standard Canthan elite mission golds drop from the chest (zodiac everythings, ironwing flatbows, dragoncrests, exalted aegis, vertebreakers, etc.). We also had a Serpentine wand drop (as posted above), an Oni Blade, and a Jade Sword (unfortunately q13). And yes, they are all inscribable.

-- An oddity... Deep Jade Chests and Locked Chests now have a bad tendency of spawning _behind_ you as you progress through the run. Twice now, chests have spawned in the Aspect of Lethargy room after we finished it--one spawned after we defeated the 1st Aspect of Depletion. The 2nd time we got to the end and had only ran across 4 chests. I ended up running all the way back to the beginning and found the 5th chest in the Aspect of Lethargy room. After the previous time, we had been very careful to go back and look after the Depletion Aspect had gone down and it had not spawned by that time.

Now... we just need to see if they will put in a Boss Chest at the end of Tombs...

The Totem Axe:
Treasures of the Jungle
Many fortune seekers, adventurers, and brave soldiers have been making their way to the farthest corner of the Maguuma Jungle in search of a new weapon called the Totem Axe. I started hearing reports of this weapon a few weeks ago, and just recently made the journey myself to confirm the rumors. While I was not lucky enough to come across a Totem Axe, they are reported to be both very effective and quite valuable, which accounts for the large flock of soldiers and treasure seekers hoping to attain them.

The Journey to reach the Totem Axe is riddled with danger which is of no surprise to anyone familiar with the Maguuma Jungle. The best location from which to start is Ventari's Refuge since—due to Ventari's mandate—the conflict that is raging in the surrounding area does not enter his sanctuary. The wise Centaur's haven is the last beacon of safety before miles of danger, so you would be wise to prepare yourself accordingly.

Upon leaving Ventari's Refuge, you must make your way southwest toward the Reed Bog. Along the way you will be harassed by a variety of Maguuma Centaurs, but they should not pose too serious a threat to a strong party. The Reed Bog itself contains many Jungle Trolls and Moss Scarabs that will present a considerable threat to less experienced fighters but, again, they should not trouble a more battle-hardened force. Nonetheless, much care should be taken in this area.

After traversing the Reed Bog—continuing on your southwest path—you will reach The Falls. Your reward is closer than ever, though the resistance you encounter becomes much fiercer. This dense jungle is teeming with Maguuma Spiders, Redwood Shepherds, Wind Riders, and Jungle Skales that will attack any who dare disturb their home. Few men venture this deeply into the jungle, so the flesh of humans is a delicacy these beasts seldom forego. Along the path you will pass a Temple of Balthazar hidden amongst the dense vines. You would be wise to pay homage to the god of war in hopes he gives you the strength to survive the onslaught of beasts yet to come.

Your goal is to reach a well-hidden area near the northwest corner of the falls. Here you will find the dreaded Root Behemoths that are reported to occasionally contain a Totem Axe inside their armored bodies. How the Behemoths came into possession of these axes is unclear, though many suspect the original wielders of the weapons were swallowed whole by the beasts. With luck—and considerable skill—you should be able to best many of the Root Behemoths in the area and, if you are fortunate, one will contain the treasure you seek.

The trek is not an easy one, but the reward is well worth it; that is, of course, if you survive to claim it. The Maguuma Jungle is notorious for its dangers and its maze-like pathways, so you would be wise to find a guide before undertaking this quest. May Dwayna light your way as you descend into the darkness of the Maguuma Jungle.
